Youth Literacy and Numeracy Volunteer Mentors  FULL 
Ages 12 and over
Cold Lake and District FCSS is seeking volunteers who can commit to two hours per week for 13 weeks. Training begins Tuesday, September 14. Under the guidance and support of FCSS staff, volunteer mentors will play word and number-themed games with children in grades 1-4. This is an excellent volunteer opportunity for youth who enjoy working with children and are looking for an opportunity to develop leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Dates:  Tuesdays, September 14 through December 7, 2021
Time:  4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Volunteer Turkey Run Teams Needed for the
Great Cold LakeTurkey Race

Families 
Ruffles needs your help to cross the finish line!  Cold Lake and District FCSS is seeking families, organizations, and businesses to volunteer for The Great Cold Lake Turkey Race on a weekly basis from November 4 to December 10, 2021.  Each volunteer team will sign up for a volunteer shift consisting of appearances on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at various times and locations. Volunteer roles on the teams include:  portraying “Ruffles” the mascot in costume; collecting and recording donations at various pre-arranged locations; promoting the fundraiser; and posing for photos with donors. Orientation and support is provided by Cold Lake and District FCSS staff.
